The Lender committee has been established to provide a forum for lenders only to explore and serve the needs of lenders within the valuation community.
Chair: Michael Moran
Mike serves in Enterprise Risk Management leading the Residential Appraisal Program for IBERIABANK’s Consumer Lending & Private Wealth.
Mike served as SunTrust Bank’s Residential Real Estate Valuation Officer with responsibility for overseeing appraisal policy, procedures and products for Mortgage, Consumer Lending & Private Wealth Management from 2015-2017. He also served SunTrust as Residential Valuation Manager from 2010-2015 and as Consumer Chief Appraiser from 2007-2009. He is a 2017 graduate of the SunTrust Leader Academy management program thru Harvard Business.
Mike has served the Steering Committee of the RMA/Risk Management Association’s, Residential Chief Appraiser Round Table, since its inception in 2010.
He was heavily involved in the Peer Bank Forum of Top 10 banks from 2014-2017 and is a Member of the Appraisal Institute, serving on the chapter Board of Directors.
He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida.
Vice-Chair: Crispin Bennett
Finance of America Commercial
Crispin currently serves as the Chief Appraiser for Finance of American Commercial. Crispin was the Vice President of the Residential Appraisal Division for Hancock Bank where he provided oversight for all residential real estate appraisals and evaluations for all channels of the bank. Crispin was formerly Chief Appraiser for First Horizon National Corporation and Vice President of Collateral Risk/Chief appraiser at First Citizens Bank. His long time career within the lending industry has created a unique and well-rounded perspective based on his lending background, his experiences as an Independent Fee Appraiser and Collateral Risk Consultant, Vice President of Compliance at a mortgage compliance and fraud detection firm, and Director of Governance/Chief Appraiser at a large AMC and data company.
Crispin is a member of the South Carolina Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and an active member of the Collateral Risk Network. He is a prominent instructor, and a frequent contributor on appraisal and mortgage industry panels. He has authored various articles and bulletins for appraisers, mortgage professionals, lenders, and underwriters keeping them abreast of regulatory changes, business trends, fraud tips, and promoting innovative appraisal solutions to help minimize collateral risk.
