The Data & Technology Committee’s task will be to work with industry to evaluate the impact and implications of technological innovations on valuations and housing and to develop a work plan of engagement on how the collective influence of the diverse membership of the CRN can effect positive outcomes for the valuation community, it’s customers and the preservation of American’s greatest investment.
Chair: Joshua Walitt
Joshua Walitt is a certified residential real estate appraiser, reviewer, and educator. As the Compliance Manager for Property Interlink, a national appraisal firm and management company, he oversees procedures, training, licensing, audit, and review functions. His ongoing goal is to increase accuracy and efficiency through the use of sound reasoning skills, appropriate methodology, and technological tools.
Prior to joining Property Interlink, he provided fee appraisal and consultation services. In 2013, he was the appraiser member of Colorado’s AMC Rulemaking Taskforce. In 2015, Walitt designed the Market Machine, a market analysis and regression modeling tool used by appraisers throughout the U.S.. He has also provided valuation consulting for international applications.
He writes for industry publications, and has spoken at events including the Appraisal Summit and Expo, the Appraisal Institute’s Annual Conference, the Valuation Expo, and client conferences. In addition, he designs and presents continuing education courses for online and classroom delivery.
Walitt holds the SRA designation with the Appraisal Institute. He is also a member (MNAA) of the National Association of Appraisers and serves on their Board of Directors. He received his Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI) certificate in 2014.
Vice-Chair: Leland Trice
Lee Trice has spent his entire career in the field of real estate valuation services. He currently serves as Principal of The Trice Group and Valucentric. The Trice Group is a Regional firm providing residential and commercial valuation services in the Mid Atlantic states. Valucentric is a newly formed valuation firm that is expanding into major markets, currently including operations in the States of CA, NV, WI, IL, IN, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, TN, and FL.
Lee graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and a concentration in Computer Science. He is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Lee has been active in numerous Appraisal Institute roles – including Chair of the Leadership Development Advisory Council and Chair of the AI Reports project team.
In addition to valuation services, Lee is a founding partner of REVTEK, a technology company that built and manages the ENGAGE cloud based transaction management platform.
Lee resides in Ocean City, Maryland with his wife and two children. He has served on numerous charitable and civic organizations including Salisbury University Board of Directors.
